Introducing the FULL & FINAL LINE UP for Quest 2016!

With some of the biggest names we have had to date blasting through the genre spectrum… over 70 DJs and 30 live acts… we have so much on offer we can’t fit it on one poster – with a full program of cinema and games and activities to boot! Stay tuned for the Quest Festival schedule so you can see who is on and where.

PERFORMANCES

1. THE BATTLE OF SON TINH AND THUY TINH
The Quest Opening Ceremony
Midnight of Friday 4 November

Revealing a wondrous version of the legend that is Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh, the spirit of the mountain vs the spirit of the sea. Who will prevail?

A fabulously high flying, high powered, high energy midnight spectacle coming to the main stage… Another Quest Production, a collaborative, creative, conglomerate, coming in hot… with artists and performers from around the world and Vietnam, featuring bellydancing, fire spinning, aerial silks, contemporary dance and circus! It’s fight or flight!!

2. THE CULTURED CLUB
Friday 4 November, 20:00-22:30

A brand new Quest production taking over the Khong Sao Commune for an exclusive night of debaucherous delights. Taking you through the seductive disco ages and dance floor anthems from 1974 to 1989 – A mashup of eclectic 80’s gems from our Wax On Wax Off DJ’s with a tribute to the legends that once lived David Bowie and Prince, finishing off with floor stomping d.i.s.c.o and funky soul from the boogie king Duy Tuan.

3. THE BURN
The Quest Closing Ceremony
Sunday 6 November, 19:00-19:30

The Burn, featuring a plethora of pop up performances and jams celebrating the community spirit of Quest and its closure for 2016. It’s time to feel the burn… expect fire, fire and more fire!!

>> See the effigies of the gifts given to the Emperor – the nine tusk elephant, the nine mane horse and the nine spur cockrell, along with the mountain go up in flames.
>> Fire Spinners from Hanoi Circus Collective along with professionals performing
>> Bellydancers from Baladi Studio

CINEMA

Quest Cinema is a space that will play host to stimulating films, interactive experiences and visual entertainment. This year Quest Festival collaborates with Doclab Hanoi to bring you a uniquely immersive and interactive outdoor space. Our programme will provide many opportunities to get involved.

We’re kicking off by launching our Quest x Doclab Short Film Competition, reaching out both to the local and international filmmakers to submit their work, inspired by the Vietnamese legend of Son Tinh and Thuy Tinh. The top 10 films will be screened at Quest Festival to enter a competition for the main prize.
