Like many predictions from Science Fiction and Comic books / Graphic novels, conjectures about humans evolving are about to become reality. Early tools, the wheel, controlled fire, even a time-altering invention like safe artificial light from an incandescent bulb pale in comparison to the advancements that we are on the cusp of as humans.

Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, Touch, Hearing, and even Thought have been improved and enhanced in this new economy.

But, when science itself is about to change, it's time to choose how you want to evolve.

We'll return to the advancements we're seeing in Inductive Reasoning, Augmented Reality, Driverless / Autonomous Vehicles, Smart Homes and Devices, Currency, and more. But, for now we should jump to how you can start your evolution.

Why should you start to evolve now?

All of these enhancements are beginning to arrive and they are letting the world and businesses and individuals learn more than ever possible before.

We have made a fundamental shift from deductive and abductive reasoning to inductive reasoning. What's that Dear Watson? Combining multiple premises that are strong enough for prediction, behavior and mood inferences, trending and forecasting, and coming to conclusions that are actionable.

In other words, we can learn from many sources and know the best path to choose.

These waves will become part of every business and if IoT has it's way, everything around you. While I agree with the inevitability of 10,000 startup business plans will be adding AI, that is only a small part of the equation.

Amazon's core business (remember them as a bookstore?) is a Platform as a Business model. Brilliant use of data to provide the best logistics, and provide relevant products to you online, from everywhere. Why have a brick and mortar store if all you need is data and people willing to buy and willing to sell? A broker for the modern age. Uber and Lyft provide the logistics through data as well. I don't need a taxi cab or a medallion (AirBNB - Real Estate / Hotel) if I can just connect someone that wants to drive with someone that wants to go somewhere. RoboTaxi's replace the driver and now we don't need to own a car, we can share vehicles instead. Tesla will even let us receive money in the near future for the car we're not using.

Smart City technology is arriving and being defined daily. Smart Homes and Connected Homes have changed security and appliances forever, but they will soon become an integral part of your identity and the data gathered continually by every device we interact with today. Precision Medicine, preventative healthcare and targeted therapy are reaching affordable levels. Sports Analytics have shifted professional and olympic level sports and the way we train and perform. Productivity is increasing with environments that are WELL Built. There are now Water bottles and machines that can change our hydration and health. Pokemon is the first big Augmented Reality game, but AR is on the cusp of becoming part of our daily lives. Wearable devices and phones are learning everything about us. Drones are flying on their own and learning how to deliver pizza. Text, Speech and Natural Language Processing is surpassing human abilities for translation, communication and more. Sentiment Analysis has become a part of many data sources. Movies and TV Shows are not only being recommended to us, but designed through learning algorithms with casts, music and plots becoming part of formulas that are designed for audiences ultimate enjoyment. Gesture control is learning what we want. Crime is being prevented. Currency will soon be smarter than any computer on Earth. Examples include: decentralized Storage (StorJ); AI Supercomputing (Neureal) with infinite abilities to scale for algorithms with Machine Learning and Deep Learning; and even Folding@Home for at home protein folding to advance precision medicine (CureCoin). 3D Printing and Advanced Manufacturing creates super human abilities for creation. Graphene and other materials will increase our ability to gather data from more flexible worlds. Perhaps even Neurobusiness will begin to shift everything in organizations of all sizes. All of this and many more advancements are all related to data and the emerging fields in Data Science and AI.

Facebook is rapidly gobbling up AI talent and collecting as much information as fast as you'll give it to them. Their hope is serendipitous discovery that places relevant ads in front of you to disrupt search. Speaking of Google, TensorFlow and TPU's may have helped AlphaGo win 4/5 times against the Go champion, but that amazing ability is really working toward a relativity engine that can make all their business models tie to a generalized AI that ends the game in their favor. Amazon recently released many AI tools including Lex which has the same Deep Learning tech as Alexa. It's on AWS in the East region.

Envisioning a time with a Shared Intelligence becoming necessary for privacy and choice seems near. Around the corner, we'll find a future where decisions are made with AI reinforcing everything we're doing and we're providing the guidelines for personalizing Reinforced Learning in both generalized and specified bots.
