Did Eli Manning Really Use ‘Trump’ as Audible Call in Game?
If you were up early enough to watch the Giants defeat the Rams in London on Sunday, you may have heard Eli Manning call for an audible at the start of the second quarter that sounded like “Trump!” in a way that would make his older brother proud. If you weren’t up early enough to hear it, here’s the video in question:

With just about everyone talking about it – just do a quick Google search of “Manning Trump” and you’ll get plenty of hits – Manning was asked about the audible after the game, and to the disappointment of many said he wasn’t using Donald Trump’s name. The only reason it sounded like it is because the Giants apparently have something in their pockets that sounds very similar. So either our ears were deceiving us or Manning is trying to keep whatever the Giants are running on the down-low.
“Trump? Trump? No, no Trump, no Trump calls,” Manning said. “We are using something very similar. But there is not a Trump, not an audible we are using. Nothing there, nothing there.”
Another reason to be skeptical about Manning telling the truth is the Giants wouldn’t be the only team in the NFL running audibles with Trump’s name – according to Trump’s good friend Tom Brady, the Patriots have an audible for both him and Hillary Clinton.
Brady says the Patriots have an audible “Trump” like the Giants called yesterday.

Brady adds the Patriots have both “Trump” and “Clinton” audibles.

Since we have no idea what those plays mean, we’ll leave it to you to figure it out.
