Job search: We’re looking for someone to be our Beaver!

Do you have an outgoing personality, love entertaining and an affinity for furry creatures? Then this could be the role for you.

We’re on the lookout for someone to play our much loved cheeky character, Billie the Beaver. As the official constructaquote.com mascot you would be expected to make appearances at local company, business and sporting events. As official sponsors of Caerphilly Rugby club, you would also be expected to attend matches and perform at the constructaquote.com stadium.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform as “Billie the Beaver” mascot at scheduled appearances and Caerphilly Rugby club sporting & business events
  • Not breaking character during the course of appearances
  • Maintaining and caring for the beaver costume (brushing, drying when wet etc.)
  • Distribute constructaquote.com promotional items including leaflet etc. in order to help increase our brand awareness and attendance at Rugby games and other constructaquote related events
  • Personally interact with people and crowds, including waving, cheering and posing for photo opportunities etc. whilst performing
  • Safely transporting and storing the costume after-use

Requirements:

  • Ability to work all scheduled event dates including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to commit to the role and the flexibility of times/dates required
  • Person must be of average build and approx. 5ft7 – 6ft 1in height
  • Although a non-speaking role, the successful candidate must be comfortable potentially making the odd beaver noise
  • It would be beneficial to have a full driving license and access to a car

Qualifications:

  • Outgoing and creative personality with a willingness and desire to have fun

Hours: 0 (Ad-hoc basis)
