What’s {Good} Here: Three Ways to Have More Fun with Wine in Hoboken

I’m a sucker for wine tastings…but why traipse into NYC or rent a car for the vineyards? Here are three fabulous ways to sample, sip, and sop up the vino this spring in Hoboken:

1. Sparrow Wine’s Spring Wine & Beer Tasting

Sparrow Wine hosts mini tastings in-house throughout the year where you can enjoy excellent rosé (which I’m most excited about) and wines from California, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, and France. And if you ever just want to browse…ask for Franchesca for the BEST recommendations ever. She knows wine.

2. Two Flights of 3 at Bin 14

Bin 14 is a favorite of mine {much, much love for Chef Pino}. They have wine tasting events monthly and can even accommodate in-home tastings. But a truly joyful Sunday afternoon consists of {1} Bin 14’s 3 cheeses for $15 and {2} their wine tasting flight of 3. It’s like putting together your own personal wine & cheese tasting at the bar…whenever you want it. And with over 80 ever-changing wines from all over the world and 7 delish cheeses, it won’t be the same twice. Cheers.

3. Court Street Saturday Wine Tastings

One of Hoboken’s best kept wine tasting (not so secret) secrets is at Court Street Restaurant and Bar. Every other Saturday they host a themed sit-down wine tasting for under $35. It’s 10 pours plus appetizers and WAY too much fun. Meghan {who runs the show} keeps it interesting…sources wine from different regions, vineyards, and distributors each time.
