Luxury marketing executive Allen Davis is joining the Dallas Market Center senior management team as executive vice president of marketing.

Effective Oct. 3, Davis will lead the development and execution of marketing programs across all sales channels and communications platforms for Dallas Market Center. He will oversee brand marketing, public relations, social media, marketing communications and advertising, and will work collaboratively across the company to execute marketing strategies. Davis reports to President and CEO Cindy Morris.

“Allen is a rare marketing leader who has worked to successfully brand and promote luxury retail, interior design and lifestyle companies,” Morris said. “He has also worked with our company directly on important advertising and branding initiatives, so we know that he shares our core values while offering creative, thoughtful solutions to promoting our marketplace and delivering value to exhibitors year-round.”

Davis’ most recent role was director of account services with Banowetz + Co, a Dallas-based, full-service branding and advertising agency. While at Banowetz + Co, Davis’ client responsibilities included lifestyle and luxury accounts NorthPark Center, Eiseman Jewels, Mercedes Benz of Plano, Allie Beth Allman & Associates, Laura Lee Clark Interior Design and Dallas Market Center.

Prior to Banowetz + Co, Davis served Memphis-based advertising and digital agency Archer Malmo on consumer and B2B accounts. From 1998 to 2005, he served as an account manager for Neiman Marcus, where he was responsible for a range of marketing initiatives for men’s and women’s apparel and accessories including external advertising and in-store promotion programs.

“This is an exciting time to join a dynamic company intent on renewing its commitment to innovative marketing,” Davis said. “I look forward to joining this impressive team and building on their many successes as we expand market share via new marketing campaigns and as we strengthen the important connections between buyers and sellers inside an inspiring open-daily marketplace.”

A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Davis has lived and worked in Philadelphia, Memphis, Dallas and Brussels.

Eva Walsh remains as executive vice president of leasing and will focus on retail relations programs and sales efforts to grow DMC’s permanent and temporary exhibitors, as well as expansion projects including the redevelopment of The Plaza into the Interior Home + Design Center.
