UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Flu season is here. The cooler weather is a good reminder to protect yourself from the flu with a flu vaccine. Only three more student flu clinics are scheduled for this year: Oct. 25, Oct. 27 and Nov. 7.

Each season, multiple flu strains circulate around University Park. Without the flu vaccine, it’s possible for students to be infected with every strain.

Students can protect themselves by getting vaccinated during one of the many flu shot clinics held by University Health Services, a unit of Student Affairs.

The clinics are located in Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Oct. 25 and 27, and 9:30 a.m.–noon on Nov. 7. A full list of the clinics dates and hours can be found on the UHS website. Students can drop-in to the clinic or make an appointment online.

The cost of the vaccine is $25. Students are asked to bring their Penn State ID and their insurance card.

Students can also schedule an office visit at the Student Health Center for their vaccine, however an additional administration fee will be charged.
