Exclusive trailer: 'Hamilton's America' goes behind-the-scenes with Lin-Manuel Miranda

Did you think Hamilton fervor would die down just because it's won its Tony Awards and members of the original cast have left? No, the Broadway smash is Non-Stop.

And while tickets for the Broadway show (and even its regional productions) are hard to come by, PBS is giving the world a look at how Hamilton became the sensation that it is in Hamilton's America. The documentary follows the story of Hamilton, from how creator Lin-Manuel Miranda was drawn to the story of this lesser-known founding father to the music and the magic of the fully-staged production.

USA TODAY is premiering the full trailer (above) which gives fans a taste of both the music and the behind-the-scenes story. As well as a lineup of fans that includes everyone from Jimmy Fallon to Senator Elizabeth Warren to former President George W. Bush to President Barack Obama, who remembers the White House event where Miranda premiered the show's very first song. "When you told us, 'I'm going to do a rap about Alexander Hamilton, we said, 'Well, good luck with that.'"

Seems he had a lot of luck, indeed.

Hamilton's America will air on PBS on Friday Oct. 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET. It's part of PBS's Arts Fall Festival, which is hosted by none other than Miranda.
