Past Empowered: Culture and Community in Magdalen Islands

The “Past Empowered” project aimed to increase opportunities for English speakers to build their cultural capacity and unique artistic identity by providing them with a program and venue of which they can be proud to support and promote their talents, knowledge and products. Within the framework of this project, CAMI launched a local photo and mini-essay contest to feature the English-speaking heritage of the Magdalen Islands. Entries are in, and it’s clear that we have a great passion for Grosse Ile culture and heritage!
