A Fall Mason Jar Ring Wreath made with craft tape is a simple and versatile project for autumn.
Hey you guys! Trish here from By Trish Sutton and today I brought along one of my favorite ways to decorate — a wreath!
Are you a fan of wreaths?
I happen to LOVE them. They are a piece of decor that can be found (or made) to fit any occasion. They are versatile enough to use for any holiday, season or celebration and they can be created to match any color scheme.
This wreath is made with Mason jar rings – and you can use the leftover glass jars to make some coordinating leaf lanterns for fall too!
Pinterest is my vice when it comes to my wreath addiction. I often see wreaths on Pinterest that I would like to replicate or use as inspiration. My fall mason jar ring wreath with craft tape is one part Pinterest and one part my son.
One afternoon while scrolling through Pinterest a wreath made with mason jar rings caught my eye. The rings were painted purple and gold and the wreath was attached to several colorful ribbons. Later, when it came time to try my hand at this particular type of wreath my five year old wanted to help. He asked if we could “make designs”. His design included orange construction paper and ghosts. That said, we went with craft tape and polka dots.

What You Need:
- 24 Mason Jar Rings
- Paint (that can be used on Metal)
- Craft Tape
- Jute or String
- Ribbon
Instructions:
Begin by painting both sides of the mason jar rings. Allow plenty of dry time before moving on to the next step. (I let mine dry overnight.)
After your rings are dry wrap craft tape around the number of rings needed to achieve your desired design.
Next lay the rings out in the order of your desired pattern, thread jute or string through the rings. Pull each end of the string as tight as you can to create a circle shape with the mason jar rings and tie a knot. Then cut off any excess string.
Loop another piece of jute or string through the center string inside the wreath. This string will be used as a hanger. Finally, add the ribbon and tie a bow.
It is that simple. And even without the construction paper and ghosts this Fall Mason Jar Ring Wreath with craft tape makes for festive Halloween decor.
