How to Create a Brush From a Texture
Step 1
Texture is an important part of any digital painting, because it adds that touch of realism to your work. And to create your own custom texture brushes, start by browsing the wide selection of texture packs available to you on Envato Market.
Once you've landed on a texture you like, open it in Photoshop. Bump up the details by going to Image > Adjustments > Brightness and Contrast, adjusting the Contrast to 100.
Step 2
Use the Lasso Tool to select an area that you like, and then go to Edit > Define Brush Preset and name your new brush.
