20th Century Fox Animation announced plans to create The Littlest Bigfoot movie. This film adaptation will be based on Jennifer Weiner’s debut middle grade novel.
Here’s more from The Wrap: “The story follows two 12-year-old girls — one human and one Bigfoot — who feel out of place in their own worlds but join forces to keep the secret Bigfoot world safe. The New York Times best-selling author, whose novels include Good in Bed and In Her Shoes — the latter of which was adapted for the big screen — will serve as executive producer on the movie.”
Variety reports that Aladdin Books, a Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing imprint, released the book on September 13. Weiner intends to write two more installments for this series including Little Bigfoot, Big City which is due out in November 2017. Jake Weiner, Jennifer’s brother, and Chris Bender will work together as producers on the movie project. (via Deadline)
