The Chambers Family

It is on behalf of the Chambers Family that I send out this rallying cry.
Just last week, John Chambers was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of cancer. He underwent brain surgery on 3/11/16 to remove the very large tumor visible on his MRI. Countless numbers of friends, family and strangers joined together to pray for strength, healing and miracles. The surgery did not go as well as we had all hoped and, though devastated by the diagnosis, this band of family and friends has pulled together to lift each other up to persevere through this sudden life shattering experience.
John is a fiercely devoted son, big brother, husband and the father of two teenaged children. He is a veteran and a patriot; and he has defended the USA with his time, his life, and his honor. Anyone who knows John would describe him as giving, dependable, a provider, a protector, and a hero who is always there for everyone he loves whenever, wherever, forever! We know him as an avid writer and a master of lyrical parody who has taken so many songs and “ruined them for the better” that we will never hear them the same way again. He will drop whatever he is doing to sing a karaoke song with his family. He is a gentleman soldier warrior poet.
It is our turn to reflect the love that he has shared for so many of us and rally together to support him and his family through this trying time.
Currently the family has a little over $9000 in out-of-pocket medical expenses between John’s current critical condition and his son's previous visit to the ER last fall. We would like to raise funds to offset the mounting medical bills from John’s surgery and therapies, as well as obtain a second opinion for treatment options. Operation Saving Sergeant Chambers is underway.
