A 32-year-old Portland man reported that he had been shot in an apartment at 104 Oak St just after midnight Monday morning.
The man called 911 at 12:39 a.m. to report that he had been shot. Police found him alone in the apartment.
Medics from the Portland Fire Department treated him at the scene and transported him to Maine Medical Center, where he is in stable condition with a non-life threatening wound.
Police said the incident is isolated and there is no danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
