August Samples Empties: Babor, Forest essentials, Kiehl's etc.

What I used up in August?
I know, these days blogging has really become slower than ever. Since I moved adjusting to new life, finding the right places for shooting and the change in the entire set up has made things difficult to accelerate. Without good images, I don;t feel like posting. But, since that is taking forever, I decided to go ahead in anyway. So, please excuse the bad images.

August Samples Empties
The stash

This post incidentally consists of all sample sizes. Mostly because when moving, I left home products I mostly used up. Since I had accumulated a lot of travel packs and samples, I am using up those instead. I am not reviewing these because even though each sachets gave me a few uses, I feel somehow, I was not able to form an opinion, mostly because, ever since the wedding my hormones have shot up messing up my skin and I am unable to see anything. ( Luckily, I got a new skincare set which is helping).

I got most of these samples from My Envy Boxes.

Vanavidhi Conditioner: I took it on my honeymoon and it came handy. It smells of nice and mild brew of tea and I am always in for that scent. I used the shampoo, conditioner and the body lotion
which I am going to post in a separate review.

Forest Essentials Ultra Rich Body Lotion Mashobra Honey and Vanilla: This delicious potion also deserves a separate review. This 50 ml of bottle lasted me almost 20 days!

Tattava Rose and Honey Face and Body Wash: It smells mild and feels gentle. But, it is not a real replacement for face wash. I loved it as my body wash though.

Bioderma Sensibo H2) Micellar Water: I used three of these 10 ml testers and I I would say these are bomb! Not that these take off every trace of stubborn eye pencils, but still, these are very good on the face and eyes in general.

Babor Skinovage Calming Sensitive Daily Calming Cream: I cannot comment if it does calm down the skin. but it did feel good on my skin.

L'Occitane en Provence Creme de jour disciplinante control styling prep Cream for dry and hard-t-to-manage hair: it seemed perfect for my hair. But, unfortunately, it did not work at all. my hair looked sticky and I had to wash my hair on the very next day again.

Babor Skinovage Advance Biogen Intensive repair Cream: It felt good on the skin. But, I did not see any long term effect.

Kiehl's Ultra facial Cream: I am currently using a bigger sized sample too and since I am using it for some time now, I would be reviewing it separately.

Za True White Foundation: This one matches my skin tone and does not settle into pores. But, I did not find anything impressive. It was just another foundation for me.

Sebastian Potion 9: This potion can supposedly used for styling as well as just a leave in treatment. Unfortunately, it did not work for me at all and even though there was plenty of products for at least two uses, after one use, I threw away the rest. I am rather using something else which is making me extremely happy. Stay tuned for that reveal.

So, here goes my list. Hope to bring back better quality photos and interesting posts very soon. I am working on it.

  1. I have so many samples to use up as well. I try and carry it with me while travelling, but I haven't been travelling much lately and they are piling!
I loved the fragrance of the Loccitane prep cream, worked decently for me. The Sebastian one I still have to try. Bioderma is fantastic, I love it! Especially for the face, I agree it isn't great for kajal and liners. I am testing the Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream as well, it works well on my dry patches. Didn't quite like the Za foundation.

    Loved the post! :)

    1. Every time I received one, I thought I would use when I travel. But the reality is that I hardly used to travel. So, now that I am travelling a lot, I kind of brought with me the entire pile!

I tried the L'Occitane cream again and I think I like it slightly better now. Still, not impressed enough to spurge on the full size of the product. I simply hated the Sebastian one. Not sure if my sachet has problem of some kind. I think I am going to purchase a full size of Bioderma. The Ultra facial cream worked decently for me too.

At first I liked the Za foundation. But then, I think it was breaking me out. So, I am discarding whatever is left.

  2. Nice review..samples are a great way for getting introduced to new brands/products...but sometimes they are way too small in size...looking forward for your review of Kiehl's Ultra facial Cream as I am eyeing this product big time :P

    1. Exactly. Thanks to My Envy Box, I got to be introduced to so many brands I love now. I would be reviewing the cream in a day or two for sure.
