Penn State Health St. Joseph’s annual golf tournament raised $48,800 that will help the hospital acquire new medical equipment and technology.

The event was Sept. 12 at the Bellewood Country Club and more than 100 golfers participated. The St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation hosted the tournament.

The first-place foursome representing Reinsel Kuntz Lesher was hosted by J. Andrew Weidman, chairman of Penn State Health St. Joseph’s board of directors; second place was Edwards Landscape & Nursery, hosted by Jeff Povilaitis.

“We are grateful for our friends in the community who enjoyed a beautiful day of golf and fellowship while supporting St. Joseph’s healing ministry,” said John Morahan, president and CEO, Penn State Health St. Joseph, in a statement.

Since its founding 31 years ago, the tournament has raised more than $1.2 million to benefit St. Joseph’s health care mission.
