Day 3 Blog Challenge: Where I realize that some of the elements of my perfect day are already true…

Easier to dream big with rainbow hair, I guess! 😉

Day 3 Challenge: Now that you know what a Perfect Day is, I want you to visualize yours and write it down as a blog post. Start with the moment you wake up, through to the time you go to sleep.

The last time I did one of Natalie Sisson’s blog challenges, it was a 30 day blog challenge… And unfortunately, I didn’t make it past 10 days in a row, if I’m remembering correctly. Hopefully since this challenge only runs for 10 days, that means that I’ll actually be able to complete it this time!

Anyway, I’ve written out my perfect day before, I made it at least that far the last time I did one of her challenges. Some of that work is here. As some of the things I wrote then still apply, I am combining them in with some additions, and also including some of what I wrote below if they have already come true! That’s what happens when you have a clear vision for yourself and what your day can look like, right?

Looking back, that was two years ago! Holy cow!

Morning: wake up after having a good night’s sleep (8 hours, yes please) with a notebook and pen on my nightstand or my iPad so that I can write out what I remember of my dreams to analyze them later. Drink a big glass of water, meditation for ten minutes, and writing for another ten minutes (morning pages). Magical practice of offerings and gratitude.

Card of the day, posted to Facebook/google plus/Instagram/Twitter: in that order. Card of the day keeps my tarot skills sharp, and offers a free little goodie to my clients and prospective clients.

Then I check out my full schedule of clients for that day and start to lay out a choice of tarot decks to use for those clients based on intuition and client request.

During the day: My full schedule is no more than 5 clients with hour-long readings (more if they have shorter appointments), with buffer time in between so that I can reset the cards and myself for the best possible reading for each and every client. I see two clients in the morning in my beautiful office that is attached to my home but with a separate entrance. For lunch, I meet up with my husband for lunch at our favorite sushi restaurant, before returning to either the home office for the rest of my readings, or I will change things up and “make a housecall” to one of my regular clients if they are local and it was previously requested.

Evening: When returning home in the evening, I will check my emails and return all emails and phone calls, confirm upcoming appointments, and look at the next day’s schedule.

—- More dreaming/visualizing, with an addendum: some of what I wrote below I wrote 2 years ago in the original 30 day blog challenge… And some of the aspects of the perfect day I envisioned have come to fruition! See in the brackets for the how it has come true.

❁ In the morning, I wake up from a restful sleep, after getting to bed at a reasonable hour the night before. I turn over and give my husband (who’s still sleeping) a peck on the forehead before hopping out of bed to fix myself a cup of coffee from our wonderful coffee and espresso maker and write up my card of the day. [this is usually my morning now! I wake up earlier than hubby, fix myself a cup of coffee, and get some tarot work, writing, and meditation done! At the time I wrote this, we weren’t even living together yet, nor married!]

After that, I check my emails and return all emails and phone calls and confirm appointments. [this I usually do of an evening, when I get home from my day job]

At the end of my workday and depending on how I feel, I will do email readings either before or after dinner. If dinner is a heavy one, I prefer to do my readings prior to dinner as food is a grounding mechanism for me. After dinner, I bring my laptop into the living room to do some writing while my husband watches tv. [yup, this is totally my life now! Most of my blogging is done either at the kitchen table within eyeshot of the telly, or in the living room sitting next to hubby.]

As bedtime rolls around, we adjourn to the bedroom and I curl up with a good book before falling asleep. [yuppers, this too, but sometimes I stay up a little TOO late reading. Oops!]❁

Blessings,
~*~Hilary~*~
