Harvest Week Returns with Five Days of Celebrating Local Food

As in years past, EatDenver rings in the bounty of fall with Harvest Week, a celebration of local produce, products and purveyors, honored over five multi­course dinners at The GrowHaus. The beauty of these events is the community that they form both on the restaurant and the guest side. The dinners bring together some 28 independently owned restaurants, which collaborate on special menus served family-style.

"It's rare that chefs from such diverse restaurants get to truly collaborate at this level, creating themed menus from scratch," said Adam Schlegel, executive director of EatDenver. "Harvest Week is among my favorite events because it provides a venue for chefs and their teams to step outside their own restaurant and create food you may not normally see on their menu. Incorporating some of the best local products helps round out what is already a fantastic and fun evening."

Festivities begin on Sunday, October 16 with a Spanish night that will bring together chefs from Lena, Atticus, and the Squeaky Bean, among others, for an evening of Mediterranean flavors served family-style. The following four days are themed Italian, Vegetarian/Southeast Asian, French, and Southern American.

Tickets to each of the events cost $75 per person, a price that includes choice of wine, beer, and cocktails, and the family-style dinner. Proceeds from the events benefit the GrowHaus. A complete schedule and additional details are available online.
