All Sync’d up: How one company transforms Big Data management | #splunkconf16

Companies are inundated each day by mountains of data and are constantly looking for new management tools to deal with them. Syncsort, Inc. helps companies sort through all that data and put it to better use.

Josh Rogers, CEO of Syncsort, talked with John Furrier (@furrier) and John Walls (@johnwalls21), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during the Splunk 2016 conference about how Syncsort helps manage Big Data.

Transforming data

Syncsort has been around for many years, and company leaders believe the ability to “transform data” is still very relevant, according to Rogers. Today data comes from a variety of sources and can be stored in twice as many places, so Syncsort focused on gathering it all in one place.

A few years ago Syncsort partnered with Splunk, Inc. to “manage data in a different way,” said Rogers. They work together to manage data logged in the cloud, as well as company mainframes, to deliver a much more efficient data stream.

Optimization and performance

Syncsort is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and that means being able to deliver across platforms, Rogers explained. Syncsort has tools that allows customers to ask broader questions across “a broader set of data,” he added.

In addition to improving customer satisfaction, Syncsort also wants to help businesses optimize efficiency. It wants to “deliver enhancements to the big data process,” said Rogers, and does this by eliminating redundancies for customers, as well as providing useful technical support.

Syncsort is a leader in the Big Data industry and likes to build lasting relationships with its partners, Rogers emphasized, adding that the company has the expertise to make a difference while always making data “immediately useful.”
