The wait is finally over! Well, nearly. Casualty's highly-anticipated 30th anniversary episode airs tonight (August 27) and don't even think about catching up later on iPlayer. With Connie and Grace Beauchamp's fates revealed, a helicopter crash and some familiar faces returning, this is an episode you really do have to watch live.

There's already been plenty of gossip revealed about what to expect tonight, but here's an extra 12 teasers to help build the excitement in the final few hours before broadcast.

1. The episode picks up exactly where the last one left off and delves straight into the aftermath of Connie and Grace's car crash cliffhanger. So if you're worried about being cheated or strung along, don't be - they really are going to answer the questions you've had for the past month!

2. Jacob is the first to realise that something could be terribly wrong with Connie - he definitely has a spider-sense where she's concerned. He insists on looking into his suspicions and drops everything by rushing off to investigate. But even if he does find Connie and Grace, will he be too late to play the knight in shining armour this time?

3. Okay, so it's nothing new, but we can also expect some very, very, very angry Jacob scenes as the episode progresses. Brace yourselves...

4. Casualty original Derek Thompson recently told us that Charlie is keen to play down his own 30-year celebrations throughout the episode. But that's not to say he doesn't have time to reminisce - not only on how he's changed, but on how the hospital and the NHS itself has developed too.

5. This is also very much Charlie's episode as a whole - and not just because of the surprise party that his colleagues are throwing for him. The real story is how he deals with the various catastrophes the team face and how the old guard provide guidance and inspiration for the newbies. It's certainly a fitting tribute to the show's longest-serving character.

6. EastEnders legend Pam St Clement does come close to stealing the show, though. Playing a very grumpy patient called Sally Hodge, Pam has some classic one-liners and her character has a brilliant dynamic with Charlie. It'll also no doubt be a novelty for many soap fans to see Pam playing a character so different from Walford's Pat Butcher.

7. There's also a real gasp-worthy moment involving one of the non-regular characters early on in the episode which might make you jump!

8. Duffy, Josh Griffiths, Jay Faldren, Comfort Jones, Tess Bateman, Big Mac, Abs, Alice Chantrey, Mike Barrett and Lenny Lyons are the familiar faces who pop up in the episode - in different forms. These scenes really do provide a huge treat for long-term viewers and a healthy dose of Casualty nostalgia.

9. Fans of Chelsea Halfpenny's character Alicia Munroe will be pleased to hear that she has quite a lot of screen time in the episode following her welcome return last month - talk about being thrown back into the deep end! And can we spot a future romantic dilemma on the horizon for her?

10. The helicopter crash stunt has claimed its fair share of headlines this week, but the episode isn't all about the stunt. In fact, you might be a little bit surprised at how long it takes to happen!

11. There are still some things left up in the air at the end of the episode. This is Casualty, so you have to tune in next Saturday too, right?

12. Show bosses had previously announced that Holby City's Jac Naylor, Adrian 'Fletch' Fletcher and Henrik Hanssen would all pop up in the episode. But that's not the only crossover, as next week's Holby City episode will also be impacted by the events in tonight's Casualty. We can't say too much just yet, but with both shows set in the same hospital, it's only natural that the crash aftermath would be explored in both programmes.
