Agent: Wall-Beal relationship much worse than reported
Forget everything you've recently read or heard about the relationship between John Wall and Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, because, in actuality, the dynamic between the two teammates is much worse.
"Whatever is public, multiply it by five and that's how they really feel about each other. It's probably a total disaster," an NBA agent told The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor.
Wall and Beal are widely considered to be one of the elite backcourt combinations in basketball, but Wall hinted at friction between the two earlier this week.

The differences between the two when it comes to how they choose to spend their time away from the game helps paint a picture of why they can't seem to click. Wall enjoys to party, while Beal is more sheltered and doesn't go out as much, sources told O'Connor. Beal is also more active in the gym than Wall, who is still perceived as being the more talented player.
Money also plays a factor, as Beal agreed to a reported five-year max contract worth a staggering $128 million this offseason, despite having missed 19 or more games three of the four years he's been in the league. He'll be making $17.1 million more over the next three seasons than Wall, even though he's never been named an All-Star.

Washington's peak with Wall and Beal at the forefront has been a 46-win campaign in 2014-15 and second-round exit at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks. The team missed out on the postseason in 2015-16 after finishing 41-41.
Wall has three more years left on his deal, becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2018-19 season. He averaged a career-best 19.9 points, 10.2 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in 77 appearances last year.
