REDYELLOWBLUE, East Village E20

A bar cum exhibition space dedicated to digital arts is the latest addition to London's culturally-vibrant E20...

Occupying a space in the hip E20 postcode — the former Olympic Village — REDYELLOWBLUE is another welcome addition to the already culturally-buzzing neighbourhood; an exhibition space, bar, and restaurant that’s dedicated primarily to presenting digital arts.

REDYELLOWBLUE, East Village E20

From the independent, family-run arts enterprise Jaguarshoes Collective (behind spots like Shoreditch icon DreamBags JaguarShoes and Wiccan-influenced pub Hand of Glory), REDYELLOWBLUE, channels 1970s and ’80s decorative fads like woodchip wallpaper and Artex — giving homogenous contemporary spaces a subtle nudge from an unlikely resource.

The inaugural exhibition combines illustration and digital arts, Lucille Clerc’s highly-detailed illustrated wallpaper coming alive at night through an interactive projection-mapped digital display by London-based convivial studio (check out the video below).

Good times, food, and drink are guaranteed with JaguarShoes Collective’s original house cocktails, local craft beers and Wild Dog hotdogs, burgers and neon slaws — straight from their aforementioned Hackney locale Hand of Glory — along with Saturday brunch and the classic roast (with a northern twist) on Sundays.
