A guide to Khoisan culture and language

The Khoisan are South Africa's oldest inhabitants but across the region they have often found themselves marginalised and dispossessed.

But in South Africa's Northern Cape province a small group of San, or Bushmen as they are sometimes called, are trying to keep their history, traditions and languages alive.

The BBC's Christian Parkinson spent the day with one of the group to learn more about their way of life.
