According to the website Deir Ezzor is Being Slaughtered Silently, Daesh executed four men accused of smuggling people out of rural Deir Ezzor, away from militant territory.

The website posted that the executed men were from Dawar al-Masriya and Dawar at-Tayara, in the city of al-Bokmal.

Civilians in Deir Ezzor are facing attacks from both Daesh and Russia. Al-Bokmal has faced heavy Russian airstrikes, but Daesh still controls the area. Russian warplanes recently targeted the nearby city of al-Mohsen and the neighborhood of the old airport.

In February, Daesh kidnapped 400 civilians from the Deir Ezzor province. At least four mass graves of civilians killed by Daesh have been discovered in 2016.

Daesh has not released an official statement on the executions.
