Greece, N.Y. (WHAM) - A retired U.S. Army sergeant received a hero's welcome at his new home Friday.

Seth Musikant, who is retired from the Army, stood by his fiancee in Greece as they received the keys to a new home that was donated by the Bank of America.

Muskiant served a combat medic for five years and was awarded several honors, including the Purple Heart.

"We've been thinking about this occasion for a very long time," Musikant said. "And when you're anticipating something and really looking forward to something, you have expectations that it's going to be great. This is beyond great. We're just completely elated."

Musikant is the 2,000th former servicemember to receive a home through the Bank of America and the Military Warriors Support Foundation.

The home was donated mortgage free, as well.
