What a week it has been for Taylor Swift. One of the biggest stars in the world has been caught up in two almighty celeb feuds, with more twists and turns than a Game of Thrones finale.

Both battles have been brewing for a few months now, but the timing of each culminated in seven days of utter hell for T-Swizz and has resulted in some spectacular scenes.

Here's a timeline of the week Taylor will never forget.

JULY 13 - Taylor confirms she co-wrote 'This Is What You Came For'

It had been rumoured for months, but on July 13, a rep for Taylor finally confirmed to People Magazine that yes, the mysterious Nils Sjoberg is actually a songwriting pseudonym for the popstar. Calvin and Taylor had agreed to keep their collaboration on the down-low, but the article suggested that it also marked the beginning of the end of their relationship.

It alleged that Taylor was upset when her former DJ boyfriend said that he couldn't see them working together on music, while promoting the song on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

JULY 13 - Calvin Harris reacts, sends Twitter into meltdown

Let this be a lesson to anyone, Calvin Harris will not take accusations lying down. The DJ set Twitter alight with a series of posts on Thursday afternoon, calling out Taylor's motives and even dragging her famous feud with Katy Perry into the mix.

Reacting to the aforementioned People article, he posted:

There just wasn't enough popcorn in the world to go around.

It wasn't long for "Katy ETC" to catch on to just what was going down in the Twittersphere. Considering Katy Perry and Taylor Swift's long-standing feud, we can only imagine that the 'Roar' singer had been sat waiting quietly for this moment for quite some time.

However, K-Pez tecnically remained silent on it all, not posting a single word on the whole fiasco, resorting instead to a hilarious Hillary Clinton gif.

The release of her new single 'Rise' couldn't have come at a better time. The song, which has been recorded for NBC's coverage of the Olympics, was used as a message of "rising above it all". It couldn't have gone more perfectly if she'd planned it.

JULY 15 - Kim Kardashian teases the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Just as the dust was starting to settle around Taylor vs Calvin, the Wife of Pablo comes along to lay the groundwork for her big reveal. Of course, we knew exactly what Kim said in that GQ article back in June when it was published, but this episode was to go more in-depth.

"He called her and spoke to her," Kim alleged in the preview clip. "She even helped him re-write it. It's so wild." Kim is talking about Yeezy's track 'Famous', in which he raps "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous".

That was at odds with Taylor's statement back in June, which said: "Kanye West never told Taylor he was going to use the term 'that bitch' in referencing her. A song cannot be approved if it was never heard.

"Kanye West never played the song for Taylor Swift. Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated.

A timeline of Taylor Swift and Kanye West's feud

"Kim Kardashian's claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone."

JULY 17 - Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs and the stage is set

Pretty much most of Sunday night's episode of KUWTK in the States centered around Kim's GQ interview and the ongoing feud between Taylor and Kanye. Kim speaks to her sister Kourtney at length about what she said in the cover story, with both agreeing that the truth was the best course of action.

Kim's momager Kris Jenner didn't seem to agree though. The 60-year-old admitted that she's a fan of Swift, her mother and her whole team, and asked Kim to sort it out with the popstar in private. But enough was enough for Kimmy K, and she respectfully told her mother that was wasn't going to take her advice. And boy did she keep to her word...

JULY 17 - Kim Kardashian breaks the internet with THAT video

Shortly after KUWTK finished airing on E!, Kim Kardashian West directed her 46.7 million Twitter followers to her Snapchat. Waiting for them were a series of videos which saw the much-talked-about conversation between Kanye West and Taylor Swift.

"I know! I mean it's like a compliment kind of," Swift is heard saying in response to that "might have sex" lyric. Kanye carries on: "What I give a f**k about is just you as a person, and as a friend... I want things that make you feel good. I don't wanna do rap that makes people feel bad."

Taylor replied: "I mean, go with whatever line you think is better. It's obviously very tongue-in-cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that's really nice!"

But it didn't end there. Kanye continued: "I just felt I had a responsibility to you as a friend. I mean, thanks for being so cool about it." And then Taylor with the crucial response: "Aw, thanks! Yeah I really appreciate it. Like, the heads-up is so nice! And I just really appreciate it. I never would've expected you to tell me about a line in your song."

It was an explosive exposé, hence why, within minutes, #KimExplosedTaylorParty was trending worldwide.

JULY 17 - Taylor had a lot to say about this attempt at "character assassination"

Naturally, Taylor was swift with her response. The Squad leader wasn't going to let this one lie, and quickly hit back with a lengthy note on Instagram.

"You don't get to control someone's emotional response to being called 'that bitch' in front of the entire world," she wrote, reiterating that it was the "that bitch" lyric she always had an issue with, but was apparently not told about.

She later added: "Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination. I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009."

Of course, 2009 was the year that Kanye stormed the stage at the VMAs and interrupted her acceptance speech after she had just been awarded Best Female Video. It's crazy to think now that it was Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)' losing that category that started all of this.

JULY 18 - Selena Gomez and the Squad weigh in and it doesn't go too well

With the tide seemingly turning against Taylor, it was down to the Squad to stand firm with their leader and come to her defence. BFF Selena was the most outspoken, tweeting that there are bigger issues in the world Kim should be using her influential voice to draw attention to.

That commentary came back to bite her, though, when a follower questioned why she hasn't spoken up about the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality in America over the past few weeks. Selena, of course, had a response to that too. Although she has since deleted it.

Victoria's Secret model Martha Hunt, Orange Is The New Black actress Ruby Rose and Kick-Ass star Chloë Grace Moretz also condemned the Kardashian clan, and it basically turned into a digital mud-slinging match with an audience of millions.

JULY 18 - Piers Morgan isn't a Swiftie anymore

Piers Morgan feels like he's been conned by Taylor Swift. The TV host and journalist wrote a column defending her from Kim and Kanye a few months back, but now he feels terrible for publishing his views without the full facts.

"Can we rename her Pinocchio Swift? I feel completely conned!" he said on Good Morning Britain. "Unfortunately, it's that moment you get exposed for little porkie pies, Miss Swift. I wanted to believe in you, Taylor."

JULY 18 - Taylor could sue Kim and Kanye

As if it wasn't dramatic enough by this point, along came the L word. Lawsuit. Reports emerged saying that Taylor may have grounds to sue Kim and Kanye for posting the tapes of the phone call online, as she was unaware that she was being taped.

Apparently, Swift's attorneys had demanded Kanye destroy all copies of the recording earlier in the year, after they learnt of their existence through Kim's GQ interview. It was speculated that Kanye could be in violation of California's two-party consent law (if Swift was never informed she was being recorded). Basically, it just got super serious.

JULY 18 - Chris Brown adds his two cents, but no-one asked for it

Oh Chris Brown. The singer showed little restraint in masking his feelings when he replied to Taylor Swift's Instagram post about the leaked footage.

"WHO GIVES A F**K," he started. "CELEBRITIES, FREEDOM OF SPEECH???, come back to f**king planet earth. EVERYONE REALLY BE ACTING LIKE LITTLE ASS KIDS (EVEN ME AT TIMES).

"Oh NO… Someone said something I don't like, OUCH, MY PUSSY HURT. Make music and shut the f**k up."

Say what you really think, Chris. Stop sitting on the fence. Jeez...

JULY 19 - Taylor's Instagram faux pas

People's obsession with every new minute detail of this epic celeb feud reached new heights when an eagle-eyed fan spotted that Taylor might not have written that Instagram note as a reaction, but rather had it saved in her notes ages ago for the moment it was needed.

Let us explain. When you normally open a Note, a button on the top left appears that allows you to go back to the app. However, in this case it says 'search', which suggests Taylor wrote the Note before it all kicked off and had to go hunting around for it. What's more, you can actually see the faded conclusion of a previous paragraph of the note, which faintly reads "because it doesn't exist."

What does this all mean? It could be yet another massive twist in this ongoing saga, or absolutely nothing at all. Such are the joys and disappointments of showbiz.

JULY 19 - RIP Nils Sjoberg

While Taylor was still defending herself against Kim K's big reveal, her pseudonym on Calvin's 'This Is What You Came For' was killed off forever. The star was officially named as a co-writer on the dance anthem, after she filed with music license overseer BMI to take her rightful credit on the song. Bye bye Nils!

JULY 19 - Kim and Kanye might not face a lawsuit after all

Just as the the threat of legal action seemed like a very real possibility, it appears Kimye may have known about a legal technicality which meant they haven't violated California's two-party consent law.

Under Californian law – where the phone conversation between Kanye and Taylor took place – if someone records a "confidential conversation" and the other party doesn't know it's being taped, yes, that is illegal.

However, TMZ pointed out that "confidential conversations" does not include discussions which "may be overheard". Apparently, the full tape of the conversation with Kanye and Taylor indicates that the 'Shake It Off' popstar was aware she was being overheard.

Producer Rick Rubin is present on the room while Taylor is on speakerphone, and even contributes to the conversation.

What's more, TMZ say that various other people in the studio can also be heard, meaning Taylor would have little grounds to claim that she was under the impression it was a "confidential conversation". Therefore, it means Kanye actually hasn't violated any law by taping the conversation. Yikes. What a week.
