The 2015 All-Sun Conference teams along with season awards were announced at The Sun Conference Tournament Banquet, hosted by regular season champion Warner University. The Seahawks received one special award while four players were named All-Conference.
Megan Minke was selected as the Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference. The junior transfer from Clackamas College was the conference leader in hitting percentage at .357, and service aces with 58. She totaled 267 total kills on the season which was second on the team.
Nikki McKown was named Second Team All-Conference after being earning Honorable Mention a season ago. Nikki, a junior outside hitter led the team in kills with 312. The 312 kills placed her second in the conference. McKown was also second on the team with 40 service aces.
Nicole Papineau, a junior setter earned Honorable Mention honors. Papineau led the conference in assists with 1,012, while ranking third in the conference with 9.4 assists per set. Nicole also had 54 kills and 34 service aces.
Chantelle Zamora, a junior outside hitter was named Honorable Mention. Chantelle had a terrific first season with the Seahawks finishing third on the team in kills with 248, averaging 2.5 per set.
Julie Law,
Gida Victor, and
Veera Hietala were all recognized on the Academic All-Conference team.
