If you still had any doubts that Windows 10 build 14393 is the RTM version of the upcoming Anniversary Update, here’s the “unofficial” confirmation that this is really the case.

Microsoft has just released another update for Windows insiders, but the difference today is that the company hasn’t shipped a completely new build, but an update to 14393. This means Redmond is trying to fix the remaining issues in this particular build before pushing it to everyone on August 2.

Windows 10 build 14393.3 is available via a cumulative update released for fast ring insiders through Windows Update on both PC and mobile, and it only includes small refinements that are meant to fix the remaining bugs reported in the last few days. Cumulative update KB3176925 doesn’t bring any new features, but it’s still worth installing if you’re currently running insider builds because this is supposed to be the fastest, most stable and reliable version so far.

The public launch

As we’ve already told you, Microsoft wants to make the RTM version of the Anniversary Update available for insiders first in order to help find the last bugs before everyone gets it on August 2.

Updates like the one released today could continue to land in the remaining days until August as insiders keep sending feedback, but it’s very clear that 14393 is the final build that that’ll be released to everyone as the Anniversary Update.

The rollout of the new update will take place in stages, and Dona Sarkar, the head of the Windows Insider program, has already explained that it could take some time for a number of users to receive the updates because everything is happening gradually. There are more than 350 million devices running Windows 10 right now, so it’s kind of difficult to make the update available to everyone at the same time.

The Anniversary Update will bring a long list of improvements and new features, including Windows Ink, support for extensions in Edge browser, a revamped UI for Action Center and the Start menu, app updates, and so much more.

UPDATE: Here is the changelog for Windows 10 build 14393.3, but note that there's still no information on what has been changed in the mobile version of this release.
