Albion Wharf on the front line with Capita deal

THE ground floor of Albion Wharf in Manchester city centre has been let to Capita Business Services for its army recruitment project.

Canning O’Neill handled the deal on behalf of Equinox Properties, which sees the business management consultancy relocate the Armed Forces Career Office from Peter Street to take 4,036 sq ft on a 10-year lease.

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking provided funding to support Equinox Properties’ acquisition of the ground floor in 2014.

The Manchester Armed Forces Career Office is part of a programme that sees the Army and recruiting offices being revamped to inspire and engage potential candidates.

John Nash, associate director at Canning O’Neill, joint agents for the scheme with Hynes Illingworth, said: “Albion Wharf’s prominent location between First Street and the city’s core means the office have a great profile with a high level of footfall and passing traffic, which made it ideal for this use.  We’re looking forward to seeing such a prominent office being brought back in to use.”

Capita Real Estate represented Capita Business Services.
