PinnacleHealth expands chest-related treatment to West Shore

Listen to this articleToday PinnacleHealth Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery opened to patients at 2005 Technology Parkway, Suite 300, in medical office building 2 of the Fredricksen Outpatient Center, a news release said.
The Fredricksen Outpatient Center also offers services such as imaging, laboratory, cardiology testing and physical therapy.
PinnacleHealth Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery also has a location at 205 S. Front St. in Harrisburg.
The second location farther west puts thoracic surgeons working at the practice closer to the West Shore Hospital. That proximity will expand patient access to additional diagnostic testing.
Dr. John Lazar, Dr. Troy Moritz and Dr. Raymond Kostin are the thoracic surgeons at the location. Dr. Kostin and other cardiovascular surgeons will continue to see patients at the practice’s Harrisburg location as well, according to Kelly McCall, spokesperson for PinnacleHealth.
The new practice will offer thoracic services such complex surgeries on the lungs, esophagus and other parts of the chest.
It will also offer services under the Pulmonary Nodule Clinic, which includes treatment of pulmonary nodules or “spots” in the lung.
There are currently a variety of open positions at the new practice, McCall said.
It is PinnacleHealth’s third thoracic practice, according to McCall.
