The song's release was a spur-of-the-moment decision earlier this year, but Adam recently told Digital Spy that he'll begin work on his new album soon.

"The plan is still being concocted and is unfolding, so we don't really know. It's all kind of still spinning around," he said.

"It's only now that I'm starting to go, 'Where do I want to go next, sound-wise?' But I haven't gotten close enough to the process yet. I think I'll start working on stuff in the fall."

Adam's last album, The Original High, saw him work closely with super producer Max Martin, and that's something he wants to continue on the next record.

"He's amazing. Max really gets me and we get along really well," Adam said. "I think he brings out the best in me vocally, which is good."

What's more, Adam also told us that the music industry doesn't need to be scared of gay popstars anymore, although there are some gatekeepers in traditional media that still need convincing.
