Ghostbuster Leslie Jones is so sick of the awful abuse she faces on social media, she's exposing the hateful users sending her sexist and racist remarks.

The comedienne and actress told her 117,000 followers on Monday (July 18) that she's been called all matter of horrible things in recent weeks - leading her fans to spark the rightful hashtag #LoveForLeslieJ.

Retweeting some of the ignorance she's had to put up with, Leslie said: "Ok I have been called Apes, sent pics of their asses, even got a pic with semen on my face. I'm tryin to figure out what human means. I'm out."

She also declared she's changing her Twitter tack to expose the ignorant users: "You know I'm gonna stop blocking so y'all can go through my feed yourself and see the bs. You won't believe the evil. It's f**king scary."

Ghostbusters director Paul Feig got right behind his Patty star and encouraged the movement #LoveForLeslieJ.

"Leslie Jones is one of the greatest people I know. Any personal attacks against her are attacks against us all," he tweeted.

Director Judd Apatow - who worked with Leslie on Trainwreck - also showed his support, and everyone else with a good heart followed and professed their love for the actress:
