PHOTOS: 8 foods to check out at this year’s Singapore Food Festival

The Singapore Food Festival (SFF) is back to showcase some of Singapore’s favourite foods. Gastronomes take note: The event is happening across three weekends starting 15 July.

This year’s festival, themed “Savour The Past, Taste The Future”, aims to showcase traditional Singapore delicacies with a modern twist. This will be done through 18 different events organised during the festival.

“We hope that Singaporeans will play a part in preserving our heritage as well as sharing and exploring the next chapter of Singapore’s food history,” said Ranita Sundra at a media preview on Tuesday (28 June). She is Singapore Tourism Board’s director of attractions, retail and dining.

Among the events planned for the festival is a three-way culinary collaboration between Masterchef Asia judge Susur Lee, Tunglok Heen’s senior executive chef Ken Ling and Labyrinth restaurant owner and chef, Han Liguang. They are creating several dishes for SFF’s signature event, STREAT on 16 July.
