Spider-Man: Homecoming adds Emmy-winner Tyne Daly to its cast

This month has seen a flurry of casting announcements for Spider-Man: Homecoming, which recently began filming in Atlanta. According to Deadline the latest actor to join the Marvel film is Hollywood veteran Tyne Daly, who is best known as the star of Cagney & Lacey and Judging Amy.

In keeping with recent casting announcements, exactly who Daly is playing is unknown at present. There's a chance she could turn out to be a friend or relative of Aunt May's, or maybe even a teacher at Peter Parker's high school. In any case, hiring an actress of Daly's calibre and experience will likely yield satisfying results.

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr, Donald Glover, and Zendaya, Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
