Looking for a delicious brunch spot? Head to Elysian Cafe, a Hoboken eatery, that puts a french bistro spin on your favorite meal of the day. You may usually head to this spot for an after work drink or delish dinner (they make a great scallops dish and mussels for all of you seafood lovers), but brunch is definitely something to write home about, that’s for sure. Here’s a peek inside our visit:

Elysian offers popular morning cocktails like bellinis, bloody marys, and mimosas.  If you prefer to sip on a glass of wine or champagne {get that hair of the dog!} with your eggs, Elysian has got you covered.

If you’re not feeling super adventurous with your order, go ahead and munch on this classic favorite:

Grilled-Chicken-Sandwich

This chicken, bacon, tomato, and avocado on focaccia goodness is only $10.75, and if you consider it a hefty portion, this meal technically serves at two meals. $10.75/2 = $5.375 per meal. Not bad for two people to share {or if you can muster up the courage to ask for a doggie bag}.

There were tons of other yummy-sounding options: Cinnamon-Amaretto French Toast, Eggs Florentine, Salmon Eggs Benedict, Croque Madame…the list goes on. Highly rec the salmon eggs benedict — you won’t be disappointed. It’s a mixed crowd {strollers and young professionals}, the food is tasty, and the drinks are flowing. Food is priced from $8 a dish to $16.50 for a grilled sirloin salad. Elysian doesn’t take reservations, and the spot is usually crowded — but you generally don’t have to wait more than 15 minutes for a table.
