This parody of common sport shooter personalities is spot on – and if you frequent the range enough, you’ll probably run into all of these characters sooner or later. Sometimes we forget that the purpose of most shooting sports is to simply have fun. Yes, there are a number of other reasons why people take up shooting sports, such as to train, compete, or simply teach themselves discipline. However, at the end of the day, most just like to enjoy a safe day at the range with some like-minded people.
That doesn’t mean that they don’t have a few quirks of their own. Do you feel like you match one of the shooter archetypes in the video below? If so, keep in mind that there’s nothing necessarily bad about any of these common traits – just so long as you remember your gun safety basics and don’t annoy everyone too much.
