Fresh Off the Boat” star Constance Wu has come on board to star with Angela Trimbur in an untitled independent comedy-drama, Variety has learned exclusively.

The untitled film is currently being shot in the Northern California tourist town of Healdsburg. Jenee LaMarque is directing from her own script, co-written with Lauren Parks,

Steven Berger is producing. Beatrice von Schwerin is the co-producer. Josh Fadem and Ever Mainard also star.

Wu and Trimbur portray brides on a bachelorette weekend, which goes awry when it’s revealed that one of the brides has never had an orgasm.

Wu came on board another road-trip project earlier this year to star in “You and Me Both,” playing a struggling addict who, along with her estranged sister, embarks on a road trip from Iowa to Alaska in search of their birth mother.

Wu, 33, is a Taiwanese-American who was raised in Virginia. She plays Jessica Huang, the mother of three and the pragmatic wife of Randall Park’s character in the ABC comedy “Fresh Off the Boat.”

The series is loosely based on the life of chef Eddie Huang and his book “Fresh Off the Boat: A Memoir.”

Trimbur most recently starred in the 2016 Sundance Midnight series feature “Trashfire” opposite Adrien Grenier.

Fadem’s credits include “Better Call Saul.” LaMarque directed and Berger produced “The Pretty One,” which starred Zoe Kazan, Jake Johnson, and Ron Livingston. The film premiered at Tribeca in 2013.
