Thank you for expressing interest in Rhythm Of Nation!
Rhythm Of Nation is a youth NGO working towards social advocacy & education. Our volunteers provide underprivileged children with computer training & life skills. ProjectLOL is the flagship programme of RON and is a unique approach to spread digital literacy among students from low-income communities with the help of specially designed learning modules, fun activities & more.
The program is challenging and provides volunteers an opportunity to develop themselves as leaders and simultaneously transform the lives of the children under their care. Volunteers are required to spend two hours weekly for a maximum of four months.
No prior teaching experience is required. Our mentors ensure that RON volunteers have the knowledge and skills necessary to lead their students towards achievement. You will be exposed to curriculum, lesson planning, classroom facilitation, student assessment sessions and other keys to successful teaching.
We also conduct tree planting and social advocacy drives such as projecTREE. A new programme which has started off in Thrissur is ProjectWOW - Words Of Wonder - which is an initiative to set up kids' libraries at various children's homes and mercy homes. ProjectWOW isn't limited to just donation of books and setting up libraries, but extends to story-telling, story-enaction and book-reading sessions.
We are looking for volunteers who would stay with the organisation for 1 year or more. For ProjectLOL, volunteer commitment of minimum 6 months is expected. Volunteering would generally be on weekends, 3 hours a week.
All applications will be reviewed in a timely manner & selected candidates will receive a confirmation call from RON.
