Evolution of the Head Unit
In
1928 two brothers, Paul and Joseph Galvin, bought plans for a
battery-eliminator and manufacturing equipment at an auction for $750
from the Stewart Battery Company, which went into bankruptcy.
The
brothers formed a company together called Galvin Manufacturing, which
we know today as Motorola. This purchase allowed the brothers to not
