From the danger of overly loud sneakers to the power of a great leather jacket, here's what we learned.

Even in this golden age of vintage band T-shirts and embroidered souvenir jackets, there's still such a thing as having too much going on. Kanye's graphics are all vying for attention here, which makes it that much harder to find a focal point.

Matt Bomer

On the flip side of that coin, we've got Matt Bomer. By keeping the rest of the outfit clean and simple, he makes sure his patterned shirt can stand out as the centerpiece. (See, we told you there was a good way to wear a loud shirt.)

Zachary Quinto

Quinto's look is one of those all-too-familiar instances of "close but no cigar." Close because that Saint Laurent shirt is cool, and the instinct to wear it with dark pants and clean white sneakers was the right one. No cigar because the loose pants and the backwards dad cap just serve to amplify the already-grunge-inspired feel of the flannel. Slim black jeans (and a hat-free head) would have been a better move.

Holy shit! Mark McGrath is still around. Don't dress like him, though. The deep V-neck T-shirt is never a good idea. (Also, is Sugar Ray still together?)

This guy just can't stop killing it, style wise. This, right here, is the power of a great leather jacket. (Non-celebrities might want to consider sizing up enough that they can actually zip it up, though.)

Remember Bomer's shirt from earlier? Zayn's is basically the evil-animal-themed version. It's probably too much for most folks, but if you're going to wear one statement piece, remember to follow his lead and keep the rest of your clothes understated.

Brad Pitt

While we love the idea of an all-white outfit this summer, there are a couple of issues with Brad's execution. The textures of the shirt and the pants are too flat and too similar, for one. It also gets broken up by the dark belt, boots, and hat. If you're going to embrace monochromatic dressing, you have to actually, you know, embrace it.

And now, yet another installment of "How Often Will Leo Wear That Damn Newsboy Cap?" (The answer, it seems, is "always.")

You know the "one fedora per crew" rule, right? Think of items like a short-brimmed boater hat or a casual bow tie as fedoras. (You are the crew in this scenario.) You should never have more than one of those quirky pieces on at a time—and you probably don't even need that many.

A late '90s pop star who's stylistically stuck in the late '90s? Who've thunk it? Seriously, though, the '90s may be a major trend right now, but this isn't the way to do it. And why is he wearing one hat and carrying another? Is that a backup hat?

His sneakers are just as thirsty for attention as he is. If your footwear is the only thing people see when they look at you, that's not a good thing.

James Franco

It's not easy to wear a mustache. So if you're going for it like James Franco, you might want to consider the connotations. Along with the band-collar leather jacket and chunky boots, it lends a "South Jersey enforcer" kind of vibe that really only works if you're actually breaking people's knees for protection money.

Simplicity at its best. Sure, the sneakers could use a cleaning, but Skarsgård has minimal, effortless style down to an art form here.

Jason Derulo

Altogether, Derulo looks great. The tux fits him beautifully. But! There are two small things here that pull this down from a 10/10 and into the 8-9 range. First, the shoes, which have a bit too much going on with the high-contrast, black-and-white color scheme. Second, the tie bar, which is sitting too high to actually serve a purpose. If you're going to wear one, slide it on between the third and fourth button of your shirt.
