Shouldn't have waited for it: 'Hamiltome' is out of stock on Amazon
You might have thrown away your shot to get a copy of Hamilton: The Revolution, because like the hit musical it's based on, it's sold out.
Amazon is already out of stock on what fans affectionately call The Hamiltome, according to the Associated Press. The book, co-authored by Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda and artistic staffer Jeremy McCarter, chronicles the making of the "revolutionary" musical known for its diverse cast and fresh hip-hop sounds.
The expected wait for new copies is now nine to 12 days. Grand Central Publishing spokesman Jimmy Franco told the AP that Hamilton: The Revolution is already going into its third printing, for a planned total of 210,000 copies.
But you can still get your hands on another Hamilton-related tome — Alexander Hamilton, the thick 2004 historical biography by Ron Chernow which inspired Miranda to write the musical, is still in stock.
