Episode 65: Skorts and Lettuces – A USA of Fun Special

Hello

In episode 65, Rosie and Jessica have returned from their USA of Fun trip. They take you on a whirlwind tour of the East Coast, from SMAC and Cheese to Crack Pie, from cat cafes to dog monuments, from Psych Season Eight to Miss Fisher Season Three. All of your favourite features are shoehorned into the theme! It’s a bumper-length edition – don’t get jet-lag!

You can listen to it on iTunes or online here:

This week’s songs
Jessica picked Fight Song by Rachel Platten, while Rosie went for 14th Street by Rufus Wainwright.

Our trip revolved around food. We visited Crumbs and Whiskers, Proper Pie Company, Galaxy Diner, Sugar Shack Donuts, Dun-Well Doughnuts, Champs Diner, S’MAC and Momofuku Milk Bar. Oh, and IHOP.

We listened to two appropriate episodes of 99% Invisible: Penn Station Sucks and Clean Trains.

We thoroughly recommend walking The High Line, listening to Ask Me Another, having tea at The Plaza Hotel and attending a Fluff Festival.

We offer our unending, transatlantic, honorary sisterhood to the Two Bossy Dames.

Needle and Fed
We visited three knitting shops: The Knitting Basket in Richmond, La Casita in Brooklyn and Purl Soho in Manhattan.

We have the honor to be Your Obedient Servant (and to recommend you listen to Hamilton on repeat forever.)

New York’s Hottest Club is watching Stefon on SNL.
