Ohio Department of Transportation to perform maintenance

The Ohio Department of Transportation will perform maintenance work in Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson and Tuscarawas counties during the week of Feb. 8.

Carroll County maintenance will include pothole patching on state Route 9 from Carrollton to Harlem Springs and on state Route 43 from Harlem Springs to Amsterdam, brush removal on state Route 39 from Mechanicstown to Salineville, ditching on state Route 542 at Magnolia and sign maintenance in various locations.

Columbiana County maintenance will include brush cutting on U.S. Route 30 from Lisbon to Hanoverton, gabion basket installation on state Route 39 one-half mile west of Wellsville, drainage work on state Route 46 from East Palestine to New Waterford and on U.S. Route 62 from Damascus to Westville, embankment work on state Route 170 from Calcutta to Fredericktown and pothole patching in various locations.

Harrison County maintenance will include ditching on U.S. Route 22 at the four-lane section in the Cadiz area, berm maintenance on U.S. Route 250 between state Route 646 and state Route 151, berm maintenance and shoulder repairs on U.S. Route 22 from Moorefield to the Guernsey County line and ditching and sign maintenance in various locations.

Holmes County maintenance will include canopy removal and tree trimming on state Route 83 during a daytime road closure from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for three weeks between U.S. Route 62 and County Road 58.

Jefferson County maintenance will include berm maintenance on the U.S. Route 22 ramps, brush cutting on state Route 150 from Rayland to Dillonvale, box culvert clean-out and ditching on state Route 151 at Georges Run and pothole patching at various locations.

Tuscarawas County maintenance will include ditching on state Route 212 from Somerdale to the Carroll County line, tree cutting on state Route 416 from Tuscarawas to U.S. Route 36, installations of rocks in ditching on state Route 516 in front of Newton Asphalt Paving Inc. and pothole patching in various locations.
