Make a Frittata in Your Slow Cooker for a More Flavorful Breakfast

Slow cookers are one of the best tools for low-effort cooking. Although you might not think a frittata would turn out well in the slow cooker, the result is actually a more flavorful egg dish.

As Kalyn’s Kitchen shows us, all you have to do is beat the eggs and pour it over the other ingredients in your slow cooker (here, it’s artichoke hearts, red peppers, and green onions, but you can customize however you like). Two and a half to three hours later, you’ve got a hot dish that’s perfect for brunch or even a light dinner.

Because of the time, you can’t really make this overnight while you sleep, like you can with oatmeal or a breakfast casserole. However, using the slow cooker may still be better than the traditional method, because the low and slow cooking time lets the flavors in the ingredients infuse the eggs more. You can also store this in the fridge to reheat later in the week with good results, because the eggs come out a bit softer than they would if you made this on the stove at high heat.
