New Take On Florida Wedding Ideas

Gianny Campos Photography

The inspiration for this shoot came from browsing the Restoration Hardware catalog, whose collection boasts "historical design" with "timeless, updated classics." Persnickety Events knew instinctively that she wanted to mix historical pieces and add a touch of modern with neutral palettes and a subtle pop of color. Thanks Restoration Hardware catalog for all this wedding inspiration. We love it. See more from the full gallery here, stunningly captured by Gianny Campos Photography.

Use crystal and brass to accent

The floral arrangements by Helen of Ever After Event & Floral Design were absolutely gorgeous. She accentuated the decor by bringing in brass and crystal elements furthering our historical design while the addition of ranunculus, dahlias and other soft white flowers paired with rich greens reflected Florida's greenery. The addition of the blue velvet ribbon to the bridal bouquet and boutonniere was such a perfect compliment to the design with its subtle pop of blue. For dessert, Earth and Sugar created a simple, yet stunning three-tiered beauty to hone in on the timeless feel.

modern aesthetic

Using a weathered oak table from Bubble Miami as the focal point, I set out to replicate Restoration Hardware’s classic yet modern aesthetic. I paired the table with rustic, cross-back chairs from Refinery Vintage and an over-sized cream settee; Atlantic blue place settings added a jolt of color to the overall timeless neutral and white palette. The place cards were handwritten by Jeanette of To Love Photographie, using her whimsical, signature font to add a playful update and even more personality to the table.

modern and timeless meet

I was oh so lucky to have fine art photographer Gianny Campos, who has a love for natural light photography, capture this shoot brilliantly. Her ability to capture the details and the light so perfectly, so delicately, really gave the shoot a sense of permanence. The Old Grove, a picturesque, five-acre avocado farm located in Miami, provided the ideal backdrop for our shoot. Pair this design with subdued make up and bold lips from Makeup Artistry by Hiara and a striking Monique Lhuillier gown from Chic Parisien, this collaboration is a perfect blend of timeless with a touch of modern.
