Rejoice! Bill Watterson, reclusive genius behind Calvin & Hobbes, is back with a new comic strip. Okay, admittedly he's not back, as in producing regularly, it's just the poster for the Angoulême International Comic Festival, where Watterson is the man of honor. But it shows he's still in fine form, and we'll take it. This has been a big year–the cartoonist has emerged several times from the shadows he disappeared into when he stopped producing Calvin some two decades ago, including a cameo in the Pearls Before Swine cartoon and a poster for comic documentary Stripped.

Does this mean Watterson is considering coming back into the spotlight he's so doggedly eschewed? Only time will tell, but here's hoping.
