Bishop Carter Announces Cabinet Changes

Rev. Beth Crissman will expand her role to include both Uwharrie District Superintendent and Director of Peacebuilding Ministries. Rev. Dr. Bill White, Jr. is being appointed to one of our strong regional churches. In addition to his role as Smoky Mountain District Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Jae Lee will be appointed part-time to a local congregation. Rev. Lory Beth Huffman will assume the role of Director of Connectional Ministries in addition to her role as Appalachian District Superintendent.

The Council of Bishops (COB) of The United Methodist Church will hold its Spring meeting beginning on April 17, 2024, to prepare for the 2020 General Conference, which is being held here from April 23 to May 3, 2024. The 2020 General Conference was postponed due to the Covid epidemic.
