What do you wish you knew more about sex or sexual health growing up?

I work for Sex, Etc., a sexuality education magazine written by teens, for teens and I need some quotes for a story I’m writing. The story is called #TellMeMore and is about what teens wish they had been told about sex, sexuality or sexual health. If you want to contribute, I’ll need your name, age and state. If you want to be anonymous, we can do that but we still need your age and location. I’ll also message you for your email if you want to be quoted. You must be between the ages of 13 and 19 to be quoted.

Question: What do you wish a parent, guardian or other trusted adult had told you about sex, sexuality or sexual health before you experienced it?

Example of a good answer: “I wish I knew that it was normal for nipples to get hard. I made my mom take me to the doctor because I was too embarrassed to tell her. Little did I know it was normal.” Or, “I wish I knew about menstruation before I got my period. [I got it] at a really young age and I was scared and had no idea what was going on.”
