How would most of us look after a boat trip on a windy waterway? In need of a comb, maybe, a bit dishevelled or, at worst, with hair like something you could nest in. So the wonder for some of us when we watched Amal Alamuddin zip about the Venice canals was not so much that she was marrying George Clooney, but that hair — long, blow-dried, lustrous, voluminous and, yes, swishy but never wind-swept, tangled or messy.
