Blount Small Ship Adventures plans a new cruise itinerary for 2015 that promises an off-the-beaten-path experience in Maine and the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

The two-ship line's new "Two Nation Vacation: Maine & New Brunswick" sailings will feature stops in more than half a dozen little-visited ports including Rockland, Maine and scallop-fishing hub Digby, Nova Scotia. Also on the schedule are Bath, Bar Harbor and Eastport, Maine; and Grand Manan and St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, New Brunswick.

The one-way, nine-night trips will run between Portland, Maine and Saint John, New Brunswick. They'll include navigation through eight different waterways along the Canadian and United States border, including the Bay of Fundy, home to the highest tides in the world.

Blount plans four sailings of the itinerary in July and August 2015 aboard its 88-passenger Grand Caribe.

Fares start at $3,749 per person, based on double occupancy and include three meals daily and complimentary wine and beer with lunch and dinner. Blount is offering an early booking discount of 15% for reservations made by Sept. 1.

One-night onboard pre-cruise packages are available in Saint John and Portland for $200 per person.
